For the design direction, we wanted to reflect HKBU’s academic and community-driven identity with a deep blue and gold color palette, accompanied by a visual motif of a linear, multi-toned geometric graphic. We used this to represent momentum and interconnected research, utilizing it throughout the booklet to tie the visual style together. This choice resulted in a cohesive editorial flow that bridges the design and content seamlessly, moving the reader naturally through the university's journey.

We also created custom icons and infographics specifically for this booklet to improve the readability of various data sets. By developing a bespoke icon system and modular layouts for all sections, we aimed to alleviate cognitive load, allowing us to group dense, overlapping metrics into digestible visual categories. The final result delivers enhanced clarity, successfully transforming a highly technical administrative report into a beautifully clear and accessible piece of brand collateral.
